The Journey calls

The journey calls me today
The road, with its twists and turns
The faces that may await at the day’s end
The visions to be seen along the way
The journey calls to me today

Cast off the fetters of responsibility
Let go the spurious cares of mundanity
Seek the joys in momentary living
Find the way of the soul

To those that know the way
Those above and those below
I ask not for signs, these I know
But rather a vision on how to make it so

One day the journey will make its claim
On a sunlit day, or one with rain
Out the door, I will take the steps
And become the wanderer once again

May it be so,
May it be soon.

On this day
From east and west
From north and south
The people come to the crossroads
Forming a place that is no place
They join in community
On this day

At this time
At Dawn
During the day
At Dusk
During the night
The cycle of time
Spirals out and in
In this place
At this time

Alone we may enter this place
A no place outside of time
When we depart we’ll take some with us
From now on
Never alone

And if our paths never cross again
Know that you have found your own
Know that you have found
Home.
