No place to be

I walk, and walk
No destination in mind
In this mundane world
Little comfort do I find

Strangers surround me
Night and day
Any offered company
Comes with a fee

Yet there is another place

I walk and walk
No destination in mind
In this magical place
Much comfort do I find

Family and Tribe surround me
Day and night
Hearts are offered freely
A smile their only price

Here is the place to be
Here is my place, to Be
For a time at least

No place to be
No place, to Be
Not this year at least.

Rebirth at Summers height

A cry was heard at Sunset
A new child has been born
His Brother reigned in majesty
All that very long day
Yet as the Sun set in the west
The Dark Brother was reborn

In days to come
He might be seen
To challenge his brothers throne
But on this night
The hope of life in balance
Lies in his cradle newborn

Enjoy these fruitful summer days
As the light it slowly fades
Nurture the growing darkness
Without which there is no shade.

I who am a Servant of the light
Must honor the Darkness as well
For in their never ending dance
The cycle of life renews

Bedwyr’s Prayer

I’ve walked the perimeter
Of Camelot’s walls
In Joseph’s sunken chapel
I’ve played for the God(s)
In Merlin’s cave
I’ve seen the Grail restored
I’ve been in Arthur’s Great Hall
In Tintagel town
When Excalibur was reformed
And my Knighthood was restored

Yet now I but wander
From place to place
Lost to the magic
Exiled to a place
I cannot call my own.

Merlin and Morgan
I call to thee
Show me the way
Across the wide sea
To where the world’s full of wonder
And the spirit flies free
Cerridwyn let me drink from your cauldron
And find inspiration upon the breeze
Arianrod spin a new skein
Add something new to the tapestry
Morrigan lift the veil of Darkness
Let the clinging shadow of death melt away.
